Club Football at George Mason University Introduces New Head Coach Lamont Gore

Club Football at George Mason University is proud to announce Lamont Gore as the program’s new Head Coach. After serving as Wide Receivers Coach during the 2025 season, Coach Gore steps into the role with a clear vision for the future and a strong foundation built on discipline, accountability, and player development.

With multiple years of coaching experience, along with leadership as owner of the DC Woodland Tigers, a successful semi professional football organization, Coach Gore has built a reputation for developing fundamentally sound student athletes and fostering competitive, structured programs grounded in character and toughness.

Coach Gore’s philosophy centers on discipline, fundamentals, and relentless effort. He believes football is a tool for developing responsibility, mental toughness, and leadership, while preparing student athletes for success both on and off the field.

Offensively, Coach Gore’s philosophy is rooted in the spread offense, emphasizing speed, spacing, execution, a strong running game, precision route running, and sound decision making. Defensively, he brings an aggressive, physical approach built around speed, disruption, and disciplined play.
